Where have I been?

Wow- time does fly....

It has been a long time since the last post- I am not going to go into great detail- but I will list some things we have done in September, since I last posted.

We put our house on the market- only to find out the black trim was not going over well- so right now we are re painting- what a pain.

Yes, I did have my birthday- we were in Vancouver for it. We went to Granville Island and the aquarium. And for my 27th birthday Danika slept through the night, and Brett gave me the best book ever (he made it). (side note- Danika only slept through the night that nigh- but as of Friday- the 21st- she has slept through the night every night!)

Danika is now going on 11 weeks old (this wednesday- the 26th). She is getting big- she had her shots- which went well. Better for her than us that is for sure. Those needles are so long! They weighed her and measured her, she is 12 pounds 7 and a half ounces, and is 23 and a half inches long. She is holding her head up, laughing and smiling, she is trying to hold her bottle, she rubs her eyes- there is just too many cute things to list. Did I mention we are both so in love with her!

We went on Danika's first plane ride to White Rock to visit my mom. Danika did very well on the flight there and back. Going there we left calgary at noon- so she was sleeping. She slept through take off and landing- and woke up when my mom took her from my arms. She was very good while we were there, but my mom and aunt had to do some adjusting to having a baby there, especially one who is on a schedule. She let us know when it was bath time- no matter where we were! On the flight back she slept for take off, then woke up. She was very happy the whole time though. It was a great visit. Danika got to meet her Great Granny and Gramps, mommy's pregnant buddy (auntie Donna's friend who was pregnant and due the same day as me- she had her daughter 5 days after Danika was born, by c-section. She weighed 8lbs 2 oz too! And was 1/2 an inch longer than Danika.) The girls are very different now, Danika is bigger than her. We met up with Bretts friend Ravi and his new wife Esther, and did some sight seeing. And we made it to the Vancouver zoo- for anyone who hasn't been- it is great! Pictures will be up soon!

Other than that... I don't think we have done anything else- it has been a busy month. And one stressful month- fingers crossed that the house sells- and that they start framing our house!
