Halloween fun

Our city sucks for Halloween fun for kids. We did the corn maze, it was fun, but too hot that day. We called the malls and the zoo. So far, nothing! The zoo isn't doing their usual boo at the zoo this year, which sucks!

So, I took it upon myself to create some Halloween fun here. Yesterday we did a last minute kids Halloween party. The kids had a great time.

I asked all the parents to bring a small pumpkin for the kids to paint and a treat to share. The kids could dress up, do some activities, play and have fun. All the kids arrived and had some fun playing in Danika's new room. Then we got them all ready to paint their pumpkins. They all did a great job, and had so much fun doing it! There was paint everywhere, which confirmed the fun had by all!

Then they all had a snack. We had worms and dirt, cheese fingers, monster mash, pumpkin cookies, "eye balls" (devilled eggs), chips, veggies and dip, and drinks! Then they took off again and went to play.

Us adults then enjoyed the left over food, and sat and talked while the kids enjoyed the rest of their party! They all left with a little Halloween fun treat bag! All were tired and ready for a night of haunting dreams!
